London Portraits - Girl Rummaging in Bag, 10/1/2009
Drawn from memory… she’d already gone through the train door by the time I got my pen out. She had this fantastically intense expression on her face; she was peeved about something. She must’ve been freezing - no coat, midwinter. Saw her for about five seconds. How many people are there that you see every day, in a big city, that are gone in less than that time, and you’ll never encounter them again…? The idea of that fascinates me.
